STRUCTURED WIRING
Structured wiring is the foundation for building the connected home. It is a network of highspeed wires run throught a home. These wires can carry video, audio, data, and voice signals throughout the home.
The wires are run to a tech port in each signifigant room in the home and usually include two CAT 5 wires (commonly called Ethernet cable) and two RG6 quad coax cable (a more robust version of common coax cable). The wires from each tech port are home run back to a main panel called a Strucutred Media Center or SMC located in a central point of the home.
From the SMC the ports are connected to the service providers such as Telephone, Internet service, Satelite, Cable, etc.
The home owner now has the ultimate in flexibility in deceiding what service will available in each room. Should the room purpose change in future from a bedroom to a home office for example, the only changes neccesary can be made in the SMC. No need to rewire the home!
Let us wire your home for today and the future with a Strucutred Wiring System.
